Variable Air Volume (VAV)

SRPA Variable Air Volume (VAV) Systems

The Smart Solution for Energy-Efficient Climate Control

SRPA VAV boxes are crucial components in HVAC systems, allowing for efficient and precise airflow control to individual zones within a building. We offer various VAV box types and configurations, each with specific features and specifications to suit different application needs.

SRPA Single Duct VAV boxes modulate the flow of conditioned air in a single duct system in response to a control signal. They can be used to control airflow to maintain a set-point temperature in a space, or to maintain the acceptable CO2 levels for a better IAQ.

SRPA Single duct pressure independent VAV boxes are designed to operate at low sound levels with precise control of temperature and airflow for enhanced thermal comfort.

Variable Air Volume (VAV) -Applications

Through precise measurement of velocity pressure through multipoint center averaging calibrated flow sensor, the requirement of need for air is met, while satisfying the thermal comforts, and needs of the occupants.

SRPA VAV controllers come with world class, reliable, Belimo thermostat and controllers and are easy to connect with building management system or independent wall mounted controller to control the temperature individually, area wise.

Specifications

  • SRPA VAV boxes are typically constructed from galvanized steel, lined with closed-cell foam for sound attenuation and insulation. Fiber-free liners, such as closed-cell foam, eliminate fibre concerns and are resistant to water and damage.
  • Maintain required airflow setpoints within a specified percentage of their capacity, regardless of inlet pressure fluctuations.
  • Sound levels adhere to industry standards like NC 40, with lower NC values potentially needed for critical noise applications.
  • Available in various sizes with corresponding airflow ranges (e.g., 50 CFM to 7000 CFM).
  • The total pressure drop across the SRPA VAV box and associated components is typically around 0.5 in. W.C.
  • Utilize Direct Digital Control (DDC) systems, to modulate airflow and manage airflow measurements, and offer advanced control capabilities and interface with Building Management Systems (BMS) using open protocols like BACNet® MS/TP.  The vendor-neutral DDC controls maximize flexibility and ensure seamless integration with the BMS.
